Greetings Travelers!
This page is dedicated to the wonderfully entertaining series,
The Adventures of Sinbad, which aired for two seasons
from 1996 to 1998. This website however, will focus solely
on the first season: Fans of the show will understand why, those
of you who don't but are curious can learn more in my series
information section.
The basic story is as follows: Captain Sinbad returns to Baghdad
after being lost at sea for two years. Though Baghdad has
changed, he's still the same as ever, the only difference is
the mysterious rainbow-colored bracelet he wears on his wrist,
though he has no memory of acquiring it. After reuniting with his
older brother Doubar, the two of them are entreated to rescue
the Calilph's future daughter-in-law who has been kidnapped by
the evil sorcerer, Turock, who demands that the prince marry his
daughter, Rumina, instead.
Aboard his trusty ship The Nomad, Sinbad gathers his crew:
Firouz, a friend, inventor, and scientist; his strong and
faithful brother, Doubar; silent and loyal Rongar; and the master magician Dim-Dim's apprentice, the
fiery, beautiful, sarcastic Maeve. Rounding out the crew is
Maeve's hawk, Dermott.
Together, they sail the seven seas, righting wrongs, protecting
the innocent, fighting evil... all while searching for Dim-Dim
and trying to defeat Rumina once and for all. In the end, you've
got an addictive blend of action, comedy, romance, magic,
swashbuckling, swordfights, and (best of all) hilariously bad
special effects and dialogue.
It's an adventure you'll never forget. ^_^
