Rongar is sold to the Dark Lord Scratch. They are given the opportunity to rescue him by completing a task set for them. Sinbad and his crew race to find skulls that represent the four elements.

Sinbad:  Just for once, I’d like to break through a door, and find a room on the other side.
Doubar:  We live in a world of magic, little brother.
Sinbad:  Yeah, well, the thrill factor is beginning to wear thin.

Doubar: These ropes are bewitched—they have a life of their own!
Sinbad:  Then this is really going to depress them. {starts cutting the ropes}

POINTS TO PONDER

The only episode this season that was basically Maeve-less (except for a short shot of her speaking through Dermott). If Maeve had been present, this would have been one of my favorite episodes… but with her missing, it’s just not the same. I actually remember being really depressed when I first watched this—it was only the second episode I saw, and I was mostly tuning in to see what would happen between Maeve and Sinbad—but to my horror, she wasn’t even there, which got me worrying that maybe she wasn’t a reoccurring character after all. Luckily, I stuck around for the next episode, which finally got me re-hooked.
