HILARIOUS SPECIAL EFFECT MOMENTS

QUOTES
Maeve: I'm
not sure I like this.
Sinbad: You say
that every time we make an uncharted stop.
Maeve: Yeah, and
with good reason.
Sinbad: My
ship was blown here by an ill wind. I seek strong laborers with... well, good
hearts.
Lady: Ah, in
other words, you're broke.
Sinbad: Yes.
Sinbad:
Greetings, spirits… uh, we mean you no harm.
Serendib: They’re
the demon guards—they keep us here!
Sinbad: Maybe
they’ll listen to reason.
Maeve: Sea towns
often built catacombs underneath the villages to serve as escape routes, in case
of pirate attacks.
Serendib: No one’s
ever thought of that before! (Oh my gosh… seriously?!)
Firouz: I was
just admiring your—your sense of purpose. You just led us through a maze without
a doubt whatsoever.
Sinbad: Is that
what it looked like to you? I should have been an actor.
Firouz: Why do
you say that?
Sinbad: Because
most of the time my sense of purpose amounts to the feeling, “Gee, I wonder what
would happen if I tried this.” It’s amazing what you accomplish that way.
Firouz: I can’t
believe that with all your years at sea or previous adventures, that anything
could surprise you.
Sinbad: I’m
surprised every day, Firouz. It’s half the fun of living.
Firouz: And the
other half?
Sinbad:
Wondering what’s going to surprise me next. LOOK OUT!
Sinbad: Alright,
alright let’s talk! What do you want?
Rumina: Sinbad,
so blunt. Where’s your light, romantic touch?
Sinbad: Well I’d
like to buy you dinner sometime, but this doesn’t seem like the time or the
place.
Rumina: Oh, you
don’t like my little city?
Sinbad: I guess
I’ve only seen the depressed sections of town.
Rumina: Well I
rather like it.
Sinbad: You see,
we’re a bad match, we just don’t agree on anything.
Rumina: Do you find me desirable,
Sinbad?
Sinbad: In a suicidal kind of way.

POINTS TO PONDER
It's kind
of funny that Maeve sends Dermott to tail Sinbad almost immediately in The
Beast Within, but waits awhile in Little Miss Magic. In the former,
they’re in a busy, well-populated town, amongst friends, with no hint of danger
in sight and no real cause for alarm or suspicion. But in the latter, they're
blown to a mysterious island by an "ill wind", Maeve has a bad premonition just
LOOKING at the place, and Sinbad thinks it's a great idea to disembark on his
own despite the fact that it's completely COVERED in a creepy, unnatural mist.
If I were Maeve the moment Sinbad left the ship, I would have said,
"Dermott—go! The fool’s about to get himself killed."
